REGIONAL KRISHI MELAS

Department of Agriculture & Cooperation has taken a major initiative in the year 2004-05 to organize Krishi Melas in 5 regions of the country. These Krishi Melas will create an opportunity of exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences at regional level in the country among various States/UTs of each region and paved the way for better transfer of technology. Such melas will also speed up the public private participation and help in upgradation of practices at the end of the farmers. Farmers will become more aware of market rates and will easily be oriented to export their produce.
